This morning we got up early and got ready for church. We
ate breakfast at the motel and then headed out to find the chapel. On the roads
we have been driving, you could pass right by a major city and not know it is
there. The trees and bushes are so thick, that you have no idea what is behind
them. We gave ourselves plenty of time since we didn't know where we were
going. We drove right past the church and had to flip around and go back. It
was up on a hill a bit and had trees in front of it, so it wasn't very obvious
from the road.
The bishop came up right away and welcomed us, then there
were two sets of missionaries that also welcomed us. Sacrament meeting was
great, the primary children sang to the fathers. They were probably twice as
big as our primary. The speakers did a great job and were very enjoyable.
After sacrament meeting we left and went on our way. It is so nice to know that wherever you go
you have the opportunity to go and partake of the sacrament and be spiritually
fed.
On the way to Kissimee, we passed over the “historic
Suwannee river.” The sign for it called it historic, and then had a musical
staff with notes going along under the words.
It was a green freeway sign. Kind
of fun. We also have seen Spanish Moss on a lot of the trees along the way. We did get a picture of it today.
We drove on to Kissimee and arrived at the house we are staying at just before 3:00 p.m.After unloading the car and
changing our clothes, we headed to Disney World.
We stopped by Hollywood studios
and rode Toy Story Mania which is Michael’s favorite ride.
After that,
we went to Animal kingdom where we had fast passes for Expedition Everest, Dinosaur
and Kali river Rapids.
We ate dinner at the park and wandered through until
about 10:30 and then went back home. Tomorrow we will be visiting the Magic Kingdom.
So very fun! I love reading about your trip every day! I am a little "homesick" for Disney world with those pictures. Keep having fun!!!

ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying your journey right along with you! It's fun to see your pictures and hear your narration as you go along. It comes as no surprise that most are in DISNEY World.... (Fans that the two of you are)! The Durfee's who live across the street from you now, are huge Disney fans also....(you may know that already). Keep us posted as you go! Miss you....Be Safe!!
ReplyDeleteYour comment about church takes me back many years to the days when I traveled with my parents, we always found a church on Sunday. I was able to learn at a young age that the church is the same where ever you go.
