Magic Kingdom June 20, 2016

After sleeping in this morning since we were up so late last night, we headed to the Magic Kingdom. Getting there is a process. Because Disney World is so large, we went to the parking lot and the trams were so full that we walked the 5 minute walk to the transportation center. There we could catch a ferry or monorail to the Magic Kingdom or a monorail to Epcot. We chose the monorail to Magic Kingdom. It went right through the Contemporary Resort Hotel.

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!

The Iconic picture!

Once we arrived, we had a fast pass to the Haunted Mansion, so we basically walked right on to the ride. It is very similar to the one is Disneyland. As we picked up our hitchhiker, the picture kept changing. It showed us with the ghost in a picture frame and then changed to show our names. Disney magic is awesome.

We left that ride and went to watch Country Bear Jamboree. It has been one of our favorites for years, but hasn't been in Disneyland for years, it was removed to add the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It was still delightful.

At that point we were hungry so we grabbed some lunch. Getting a table was a challenge. The park was way busy. After lunch we had fast passes for Peter Pan's flight.   Never got on that ride so fast in our lives. It was pretty close to the same as Disneyland.  The characters may be more dimensional.

After that we rode It's a Small World. As we were leaving, the ride told us goodbye.

We stopped for a drink at the Starlight cafe on our way to Tomorrowland.

For Tiffany

They didn't have Root beer, so I settled for Sprite since the Coke I drank yesterday kept me awake last night.

In Tomorrowland we rode the Peoplemover, then watched the Carousel of Progress. We must have been in a nostalgic mood today since the shows/rides we really enjoyed were those that we had always enjoyed when they were at Disneyland.   We then stood in a long line for Buzz Lightyear where Nola beat Michael with a higher score.

We then went to Fantasyland and rode Winnie the Pooh, Little Mermaid and the Train around the Magic Kingdom. While waiting in line for Winnie the Pooh, they have interactive activities for the children. It is great.  Our last fast pass of the day was for Seven Dwarf's mine train.   It was a fast ride, but was lots of fun.

We grabbed dinner and then watched the fireworks.  We lucked out with a great last minute place to stand to watch the fireworks.

After the fireworks, we made out way over to Pirates of the Caribbean. It is an abbreviated version of the one in Disneyland.

Today at home our little Briella, our youngest granddaughter, had tubes replaced in her ears and her adenoids removed. Her mom said it went well but we are certainly praying for a quick recovery. She has had so much to deal with in her short life. It is hard to not be there to help. We love and miss our family.
