This morning was a lazy morning as we took it easy and
let our bodies recover from the pounding they took the last couple of days. I
could barely walk by the time we got back to the home yesterday.
About noon we went to the Magic Kingdom. This time we
took the ferry from the transportation center. That was our plan, but we
couldn't take the monorail anyway because it was not working.

When we arrived at the park, I was selected for an
additional screening after the bag check. When I went through the metal
detector, I set it off so I had to be wanded. I think it was just my
watchband. We went through the gate and
picked up a frozen banana for Michael and a bottle of water for me. We ate,
drank them and walked into the shop at the end of Main Street. We shopped a
little and ended up in the confectionary shop. They had a mammoth cashew
caramel pattie.
We bought one to share and enjoyed it thoroughly. They are like
a giant cashew starkle we used to buy at the GRA (Geneva Recreation
Association) Christmas candy sale when Michael worked at Geneva Steel.
After enjoying the sweet treat, we meandered down Main
Street as I texted friends from work. I
love technology and how we can have a conversation with friends in Alabama,
Provo, Utah, Saratoga Springs, Utah, Washington D.C., and Kissimmee, Florida
all at the same time. We went to the Tiki Room and enjoyed the show.

Then took this picture for Alesha.
We used our fast pass for Jungle Cruise. A lot of the same
silly jokes and a few new ones. Our skipper's name was Donald. Appropriate for
working there. ;)
The line was short for Pirates, so we went on that ride
again before heading to Splash Mountain. We loved that the boats let two people
sit side by side. We got slightly wet in
our back of the log seats, but not soaked. We thought of Kayla this afternoon a lot since we were riding her two favorite rides, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain.
| It was a Zip-a-dee-doo-dah kind of a day. |
We had about an hour before our fast pass was available
for Big Thunder Mountain, so we grabbed some drinks and sat in the shade to
enjoy them. It was hot today, and although we didn't feel the humidity was as
high as it has been, we seemed to be warmer and thirstier than earlier days.
When we finished our "mountain" rides, we caught the railroad back to
the front of the park and headed out. We
stopped and got dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We could eat there and have a great
steak and pay about the same as a meal in the park.
Michael is feeling more sore tonight and so we are going to relax and watch a movie or swim in the pool and regenerate for our last day at Disney World tomorrow.
Ooh that cashew caramel patty looks delicious! As does the Dole Whip! Yum! Looks like a lot of fun! Hope you enjoy your last day at Disney World and were able to get some rest! Love and miss you guys!
